This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones wowwithlighting.com uses, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. It lets the site remember things between page loads and between visits. We also use related technologies such as pixels, tags, and browser local storage, which work differently but serve similar purposes. For simplicity, this policy refers to all of them as cookies.
First-party cookies are set by this website. Third-party cookies are set by another company whose service runs on this website, such as an analytics provider or an affiliate programme. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain for a set period.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, we do not run behavioural retargeting on this site, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.
3. AFFILIATE COOKIES IN DETAIL
Because this site is funded by affiliate commission, this category deserves a plain explanation. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer places a cookie on your device recording that you arrived from Wow With Lighting. If you then buy something within that retailer’s tracking window, the retailer credits us a commission on the sale.
These cookies are set by the retailer, not by us. We do not receive your name, your address, your payment details, or an itemised record of what you bought. We see aggregate commission reporting only. Details of the arrangement are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
4. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES
You are in control. Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies through its settings, usually under Privacy, Security, or Site Settings. You can typically block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, delete existing cookies, or set the browser to clear cookies each time it closes. Most browsers also offer a private or incognito mode that discards cookies at the end of the session.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU BLOCK THEM. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site. Blocking analytics or affiliate cookies will not stop you reading anything here — every guide remains free and complete. Blocking affiliate cookies simply means a purchase you make will not be attributed to us.
5. CONSENT, DO NOT TRACK, AND CHANGES
Where required by law, non-essential cookies are set only after you have given consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time through your browser settings or any cookie control provided on the site. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not currently handled in a uniform way across the web, and we do not presently respond to them, though you can achieve the same result using the browser controls described above.
